Triptyque en terrasse I, II, III

(English below)

Je continue à plonger dans mes souvenirs des lumières de cet été. C’était une terrasse en plein soleil, à Catane, en Sicile, cet été. Les aspérités des dalles de la terrasse étaient remplis des cendres du volcan Etna, dont une grande éruption avait eu lieu une semaine auparavant. J’ai aimé les enchevêtrements du mobilier et des ombres, pour ce petit triptyque.

I continue to plunge into my memories of the lights of this summer. It was a sunny terrace in Catania, Sicily, this summer. The rough edges of the terrace tiles were filled with ash from the volcano Etna, which had erupted a week earlier. I liked the way the furniture and shadows intertwined in this little triptych.
