Voici une photographie que j’ai prise à Sukhothaï, en Thaïlande, dans le parc historique des ruines de la vieille ville (อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์ สุโขทัย). J’ai aimé les premiers rayons du soleil, le matin, qui éclairaient la figure de cette statue de Bouddha, ce visage semble s’illuminer. L’envol d’un oiseau, sur l’une des colonnes à gauche de l’image, rappelle l’usnisha, la pointe qui coiffe le sommet du crâne du Bouddha.

Here is a photograph I took in Sukhothai, Thailand, in the historical park of the old city ruins (อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์ สุโขทัย). I loved the first rays of sunlight in the morning illuminating the face of this Buddha statue, making it seem to glow. The flight of a bird on one of the columns to the left of the image is reminiscent of the usnisha, the protuberance on the top of the Buddha’s head.
